About the Ferrari 312T4
Making its debut at the 1979 South African Grand Prix, the Ferrari 312T4 was Ferrari's first ground-effects F1 car and it tasted success immediately, with drivers Jody Scheckter and Gilles Villeneuve achieving a one-two finish. The following race was the US Grand Prix, where the two drivers once again had a one-two finish. With this auspicious start, the 312T4 went on to prove that it was a reliable machine, putting in consistent performances throughout the season, culminating in Scheckter claiming the Championship.
