Voyager E CCPM Electric Heli Kit: VE

JR's electric helicopter the Voyager E is designed to offer flight performance not normally associated with electric helicopter flight. The Voyager E features a single axle through the head design with CCPM inputs, giving powerful cyclic and collective response. An auto rotation clutch and cogged toothed tail rotor belt drive is standard, as are pre-finished and balanced main and tail rotor blades.

The main frame is constructed of rugged fiber-filled nylon, while the canopy is blow molded from polypropylene, making this one of the most rugged electric helis on the market. A high-powered, rpm 12-turn, 540 size motor is included. An optional 7 cell 2000mAh pack provides more than enough power for three to four minutes of loops and rolls, followed by 30 seconds of gentle flight. The Voyager E accepts both standard and mini servos, thanks to the included nylon servo inserts. Parts fit and quality is up to JR's typical high standards. Construction time is just under six hours.

Flight performance with the 12-turn motor is amazing for an electric. Strong pullouts approach that of 30-size machines and forward flight tracking is stable, with just a bit of down required. Cyclic response is powerful, with an estimated roll rate in the 360' per 3 second range, while flight times varied greatly based on how aggressively we flew.

The Voyager E comes complete with JR's NEA-300H speed controller and special 540 motor. If you're into electric helis, JR's high-performance Voyager is one you should definitely check out.
